Complete QC
Asset Digital announces the re-launch of Complete QC, our in-house DVD quality control service. With the addition of Complete QC, Asset now offers clients the final step in the process of delivering high-quality, error-free DVD projects. Simply provide us with a pressed check disc (supplied by the DVD replication facility) and our expert QC technicians will perform a barrage of tests specially designed to cover all aspects of the DVD authoring process. After the analysis is made you will be sent an in-depth report (.pdf 24kb) detailing all problems found on the disc, and, where possible, probable causes of the errors.
Whether the project was authored through Asset Digital or a different authoring house, Complete QC is a key component of your review process. In addition to our expertise in locating problems, we also possess the technology to quickly remedy several Navigational and Technical problems from the check disc itself, even if the original project was produced by another facility. (additional charges will apply)
Some of the tests we perform include:
Video:
- Quality of all video encodes on disc.
- Aspect ratio settings on 4:3 and 16:9 screens.
- Streams for sync at multiple spots.
Navigation:
- Navigational programming of all buttons on disc.
- Linking and Colour consistency of all buttons on disc.
- Spot-check navigation on 5 different players.
- Correct resume button functionality
Technical Standards:
- Properly set stream language codes (audio/subs)
- Authoring guideline consistency.
- Verify standard default streams work properly.
- Proper user op settings on motion menus
- Verify disc settings (css, macrovision, regions, volume etc.)
Optional Services:
- Check DVD-ROM content for access and basic functionality.
- Proofing of all streams on disc (subtitles/subs/cc).
- Specific player testing
- Packaging confirmation (check to ensure packaging details are accurate)
